A vagabond heart is a terrible thing
It cannot be tamed with a rose or a ring
It makes its own way and it wanders around
And lives under bridges and sleeps on the ground
Though it may be sad, it refuses to mind
And, stubborn, stays lonely among its own kind
Always beware of a vagabond heart
It thinks it may stay, but it always departs

Boy, that's bad! It's your own fault, you know: you gave me the prompt "vagabond." Smile

I think it's kind of epic, actually.

I really enjoy how this is short, but still powerful. Love the alliteration and the parallelism of "a rose or a ring."
