The problem with trails of dough:
They’re fondly devoured by crow.
Hansel and Gretel
Needed more mettle
Or at least breadcrumbs laced with blow.
It’s really a simple solution
A bit of yeasty pollution
The bird eats the crumb
And quickly succumbs
To a little narcotic dilution.
Upon their evening curfew
All Hansel and Gretel need do
Is follow the track
Of birds dead from crack,
And thus not end up in stew.

Positively delightful, though I admit it took me a moment to realize what you meant by blow, heh.

Heh, I guess I'm overexposed to drug terminology/uses because of my field, because I honestly started contemplating what other drugs could be used in here. How sad I am.

Truly a masterful update of a classic fairy-tale. I'd read it to my kids, but I don't want to have to explain to my mother why her grandchildren are talking about dead crack birds.
