Breadcrumbs and Birds

The problem with trails of dough:
They’re fondly devoured by crow.
Hansel and Gretel
Needed more mettle
Or at least breadcrumbs laced with blow.

It’s really a simple solution
A bit of yeasty pollution
The bird eats the crumb
And quickly succumbs
To a little narcotic dilution.

Upon their evening curfew
All Hansel and Gretel need do
Is follow the track
Of birds dead from crack,
And thus not end up in stew.
